This level of certification is designed for professional contractors that are contracted to provide COVID specific cleaning and disinfection services. These professionals should have proper insurance and training to utilize best available practices in accordance with EPA, WHO, OSHA, etc. This training assumes that the professional already has some basic knowledge, experience, understanding and training in property restoration and/or environmental cleanup such as water damage, mold/sewage, crime scene cleanup, handling of hazardous materials, etc. It also assumes the contractor has an understanding of hazard identification, PPE, engineering controls, etc. This Professional level COVID-19 Disinfection Certification course provides instruction on how to properly clean areas that have been potentially exposed to COVID-19.
The office worker & non-office worker infection prevention training course is intended and designed for employees that are not in the field performing professional disinfection services. Employers have a legal duty to provide their workers with a safe and healthful workplace based on OSHA General Duty Clause, 29 USC 654, section 5(a)(1). This training complies with OSHA's General Duty Clause which helps ensure employers provide a workplace free from recognized pathogen hazards. This course will provide employees the education, tools and techniques to perform workspace cleaning and disinfection at their work area to control and reduce their risk and exposure to the coronavirus.
