The founders of Pathogen Response & Resource Alliance (PR2), Kyle Sibley and Nate Seward, decided to form PR2 after consistently watching unqualified and untrained contractors providing cleaning and disinfection services at the beginning of this pandemic using unvetted, unsafe chemicals and technologies. The lack of a Standard of Care and this "wild west approach" for COVID was similar to what we saw 25 years ago when the mold remediation industry was out of control.
With over 50 years of combined experience between our founders, we have collectively restored and inspected over 20,000 properties across the US from insurance claims to large catastrophic events (i.e. wildfires, hurricanes, etc.) including water damage, mold/sewage, fire/smoke, crime scene trauma, illicit drug remediation, infectious disease, hazardous materials, etc. In conjunction with our experience, we felt it was critical to assemble an Advisory Board with other highly credentialed and qualified experts in order to establish the credibility and foundation of an industry Pathogen Standard of Care. PR2's Advisory Board includes individuals that maintain some of the most respected and highest scientific credentials. licenses and qualifications in the industry, including: PhDs, PE's, CIH, EPA/IICRC Instructors, a College Professor in immunology/microbiology, Psy.D in Clinical Psychology, business owners, etc.
PR2's collective credentials, education and experience are unmatched and are the reason PR2 is proud to have become one of the first and few companies to qualify and obtain a unique insurance policy with specific insurance coverage for communicable disease allowing us to provide our training services. In fact, because of the increased risk and uncertainty felt by the insurance providers insuring contractors providing COVID-19 services, PR2 is assisting and providing advice to underwriters on what training and qualifications should be required to minimize the carriers exposure.
